Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century - with colorful lanterned nights, with cristinely old plain houses and special mysterious cultural elements, and with the etiquette and culturally hospitable and friendly people are warmly welcoming you. This fishing-village-turned-tourist-hotspot is situated on the coast of the South China Sea in Vietnam. It is sometimes called the “Venice of Vietnam” because of the narrow canals that cut through part of the town.

Hoi An Full Moon Festival is held on every 14th day of the lunar month at the World's heritage ancient town in Central Vietnam. During these nights, Hoi An ancient town switcches off its electric lights and shuts down to motorized vehicles and lanterns go on (that's why it is also called Hoi An Lantern Festival). This is a magical festival and gives you a glimse of what life may have been like when Hoi An was a booming and affluent port 400 years ago.

The Phuc Kien (Fukien) Assembky Hall, located at 46 Tran Phu Street, was said to build in 1759 for the Fujian people - the largest Chinese ethnic group in Hoi An. This is considered a great symbol of Chinese architecture among Vietnamese ancient town and also a heritage of historical significance.

7. Nan Madol - the “Venice of the Pacific,” is a collection of small man-made islands situated off the eastern shore of the island of Pohnpei, in Micronesia.

8. Bangkok Klongs - “Klong” is Thai for canal, “The Venice of the East.”

9. Alappuzha - Another “The Venice of the East,” an ancient and beautiful place in India full of canals.

10. Stockholm Canals - Called the “Venice of the North”
